As of today, 11 out of 12 managers have successfully completed the Certified Cyber Insurance Specialist (CCIS) Course, a notable achievement that underscores GIG Gulf’s commitment to excellence and innovation.

The CCIS course, which is CII-accredited, is designed to equip insurance professionals with the necessary skills to navigate the complex landscape of cyber risks and threats.

The Learning Journey
The training program commenced with an online kick-off meeting on March 2, 2023, where the participating managers were introduced to the Cyber Insurance Academy’s 24/7 online learning platform. This platform offers a robust curriculum covering cyber security fundamentals to advanced cyber insurance subjects, including underwriting, claims and incident response, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
The course, designed to be completed in 40-50 hours, includes engaging videos, quizzes, and knowledge checks, providing a comprehensive learning experience. Despite the demanding nature of the program, the managers demonstrated remarkable dedication and time management, balancing their professional responsibilities with the rigorous training.
Recognizing the Achievements
Out of the 12 managers who embarked on this journey, 11 have successfully completed the program, earning their CII-accredited Certificates of Graduation. This accomplishment not only enhances their individual professional competencies but also significantly strengthens GIG Gulf’s overall cyber insurance capabilities.
Unfortunately, one manager had to slow down the learning pace due to a personal emergency. However, GIG Gulf and the Cyber Insurance Academy have agreed to continue supporting this manager until the program is completed this year.
